Brad Besser’s Beaver Trilogy Part IV is going to make its world premiere at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. The documentary tells the story surrounding the creation of Trent Harris’ legendary cult film Beaver Trilogy and I’m honored to be producing it along with Brad, Jonathan Duffy, and Kelly Williams.
Jennifer Harlow’s The Sideways Light has been receiving positive reviews following its world premiere at the Austin Film Festival. Don Simpson at Smells Like Screen Spirit says the film expresses “an exuberant amount of directorial patience in the methodical pacing… a meticulous exercise in mood and tone,” Cinemen calls it “a refreshing take on a ghost story,” The Austin Chronicle states “Harlow is trying for new territory here… Cinematic depictions of senility often come across as demeaning, comedic shtick… Instead, Jefferies’ battles with the invisible, whether real or imagined, are truly heartrending.”
The film screens again this Thursday at the Lone Star International Film Festival in Fort Worth.
Just in time for Halloween my short film, The Horrible Life of Dr. Ghoul, is now online. The film focuses on the bad day in the life of horror host Dr. Ghoul, played by Chris Doubek (Computer Chess, Lovers of Hate, White Reindeer). You can see the entire eight-minute film after the jump.
I’m currently editing CNN’s recently announced Original Series High Profits. The show’s eight episodes will focus on the owners of the Breckenridge Cannabis Club, entrepreneurs at the forefront of Colorado’s newly legal recreational marijuana industry. The series begins airing in 2015 but CNN has a trailer online now. The show has already been covered in Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Weekly, Deadline, Complex, and MTV.
Jennfier Harlow’s dramatic thriller The Sideways Light is going to have its world premiere October 23rd in the Dark Matters competition at the Austin Film Festival. The film stars Lindsay Burdge (A Teacher, Wild Canaries), Annalee Jefferies (Monsters, Hellion), Matthew Newton and Mark Reeb. For more information check out the film’s website.
